Multiple Power
Multiple Power is deodorant, antibacterial, and antifoulant materials for textiles, using photocatalytic titanium oxide at its core. Due to benefits of apatite-coated titanium oxide compound, Multiple Power is textile-processing agents, which absorb and dissolve only harmful organic matters including odor and dirt without damaging.
1. Features

In combination with high-performance deodorant and antibacterial agent, Multiple Power delivers strong odor eliminating and antibacterial action even at darker place where photocatalyst do not function.

When the attached organic matters or dirt including odor component and bacteria are exposed to light, they are dissolved by photocatalytic titanium oxide.

Multiple Power also offers washing resistance based on the SEK Standard which is  issued by Japan Textile Evaluation Technology Council. (JTETC)

2. Ingredients

Multiple Power is composed by seven ingredients.
1) Photocatalytic material
2) Photocatalytic deodorant
3) Special deodorant
4) General-purpose antibacterial agent
5) Binder  
6) Special penetrant
7) Special dispersant
3. Method of preparation

・Add clean water into the Multiple Power by the ratio of 9:1.
・Don’t add the Multiple Power into water to avoid disperse problem.
4. Method of application

Multiple Power is not adequate for soaking method. Spraying method or padding method is recommended.

・Spraying method
Spray 60g/u or over > drying > heat treatment(at or below 150 degrees in Celsius)

・Padding method
1Dip-1Nip squeezing ratio at 70% > drying > heat treatment(at or below 150 degrees in Celsius)

(Caution) A certain type of textile may have a little whitish finish. In that case, please adjust the concentration, spraying amount and squeezing ratio.

Ingredients of Multiple Power
1. Photocatalytic material

We use titanium oxide for photocatalystic material which delivers strong activity. Warty cluster apatite absorb organic matters.

Photocatalystic material also absorb and dissolve only the organic matters such as odors and bacteria, without damaging textiles. This product is also used in Wellcoat Series, our highly acclaimed ecological photocatalyst coating agent for indoor use.

2. Phocatalystic deodorant

Photocatalystic deodorant, an odor-eliminating agent for textile, also reduces body odor that afflicts older people (nonenal). Conventional deodorant products haven’t had effects on nonenal; however, Our photocatalystic deodorant eliminates the odor, thanks to its photocatalytic function. This product delivers an odor eliminating effect on acidic components such as hydrogen sulfide and mercaptan as well as alkaline components including ammonia and trimethylamine. It can be used in combination with other antibacterial agent and photocatalyst, and washing restores its odor eliminating function.
3. Special deodorant

An antibacterial agent for textiles, delivers constant effect, in particular antibacterial effect on gram-positive bacteria including staphylococcus aureus bacteria. In general, the effect of antibacterial agent is weakened when it is used with water-repellent or fire retardant. However, even in such a case, Our special deodorant still offers excellent antibacterial effect.
4. General-purpose antibacterial agent

We also use an another type of deodorant that restores the function on its own and is used in combination with emulsion resins to deliver lasting odor eliminating function. This product offers an odor eliminating effect on acidic components such as hydrogen sulfide and mercaptan as well as alkaline components including ammonia and trimethylamine.

It can be used in combination with other antibacterial agents and photocatalyst, and washing restores its odor eliminating function.

5. Binder

We have two kinds of binder for Multiple Power. One is a resin that can be used with various finishing agent as a binder for a large variety of functional textile processing agents. In particular, this product adds soft texture when it is applied to nonorganic materials.

An another one contains silicon resin, it adds relatively hard texture. This product doesn’t add slick texture specific to silicones. Both of them don’t cause yellow discoloration.

6. Special penetrant

Special penetrant is an additive agent with enhanced permeability. A MultiplePower Series penetrant with powerful permeability.
7. Special dispersant

Special dispersant is an additive agent with enhanced dispersibility. Multiple Power Series dispersant with enhanced dispersing effect.


Photocatalytic textile processing agents

How to use “Multiple Power”
Multiple Power is the world’s first double-action textile processing agent, which is composed by photocatalytic effect and odor?bacteria absorbing decomposing effect. And Multiple Power can make any textile products even valuable and can keep clean and healthy conditions in home.

Multiple Power can be used at any textile processing line or even can be used by handy spray. It is recommended to But we recommend to have heat treatment process for obtaining washing resistance function.

1. Method of preparation

(Before putting water)
・Shake container of agent deposit as much as possible before putting water to prevent deposit formation.
・Residual agents should be sealed and stored in a cool, dark place. 
・Put water into Multiple Power by the ratio of 9:1.
(After putting water)
・Multiple Power mixture should be used within one day after putting water.
2. Method of application

Multiple Power should be applied with the padding method or the spraying method. Please refer the following outline for each method of application.

(1) Padding method
Normally, the padding method is done in the finishing process of textile processing. The proper name for the method is “Pad&Dry&Cure.” Below is the flow of the method.

*At some dye factories, Dry(intermediate drying process)is a part of the whole process, not an independent process. However, there is no difference in basic concepts of the process.

Heat treatment and complete drying process

・Major point of application
Fully soak the whole cloth in a vat of Multiple Power mixture without break, and squeeze it with constant pressure using two rollers in order to evenly process the whole cloth. The amount of Multiple Power to be attached on the whole cloth depends on how to adjust the rollers’ squeezing ratio and line speed.

The whole cloth cannot be processed evenly in the case that the line speed is too fast. The cloth doesn’t soak sufficient Multiple Power mixture, or the squeezing pressure isn’t stable. In particular, when the squeezing pressure is too low, the whole cloth is processed unevenly due to lack of drying. On the contrary, when the squeezing pressure is too high, sufficient amount of active ingredients cannot be attached to the whole cloth. Under the circumstance, you may have difficulty in benefiting from the highest degree of effectiveness of Multiple Power.

(2) Spraying method

Instead of soaking textiles with mixture in the vat, the mixture is sprayed on the textiles using spray nozzle. The only difference between the spraying method and the padding method is how to apply the mixture of Multiple Power to the whole cloth. Other processes are common between the two methods. Please choose one method of application from the two based on the line property in the facility, types, or structures of the textiles, and purpose of use.

・Major point of application
Amount of Multiple Power to be sprayed per 1u depends on how to adjust the distance between a spray nozzle and the whole cloth, spraying pressure, size of the spray nozzle, and the line speed.

When the line speed is too fast, sufficient amount of Multiple Power cannot be attached to the whole cloth. When the line speed was too slow, excessive amount of Multiple Power may be attached. Thorough adjustment is required before application, because the spraying pressure, the size of spray nozzle, and the distance between the whole cloth and the nozzle may cause the problem.

When spraying on a roll of 1500mm-wide whole cloth, for example, place eight “spray nozzles R and L” side by side in pairs to the direction of movement of the whole cloth, and the spray nozzles are slightly angled back and forth to evenly coat the whole cloth.
